This week, The Stranded Chef, Dennis Tierney, invited us into his kitchen to observe some magic.
Earlier in the day, Dennis had stopped by Thornleigh Farm to pick up some fresh watermelons. Those melons turned into a delicious starter at Pinetrees, one of Lord Howe Island’s most storied guesthouses.
Dennis and his staff operated like a well oiled machine, preparing dozens of intricate portions.
Seeing fresh farm produce being used in the Pinetrees kitchen was a a truly special moment. We can’t wait to deliver more yummy ingredients for The Stranded Chef to experiment with.
